POPIA notice.
A plain-language summary of your information rights and how we aim to handle your data responsibly in South Africa.
Our approach
The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) sets rules for lawful and responsible personal information processing in South Africa. MzansiHub aims to apply its principles, including accountability, limited purpose, minimal data collection, openness, security and participation. This notice is not a legal certification of compliance.
Purposes of collection
We need your details to operate accounts, provide directory functions, process business ownership verification, handle customer requests and respond to messages. Admin email notifications may contain details supplied by visitors. Published business and “Looking For” information may be viewed by the public as described in the privacy policy.
Request your information or object
You may ask what information we hold, request corrections, object to certain processing, or seek deletion when legally appropriate. Use Contact → Privacy or POPIA request and describe the request. We may need to verify your identity before sharing account or claim data.
Security and third parties
Private uploads must not be made publicly accessible. Authorized administrators and required providers may process information for the purposes listed. Hosting through Cloudflare Tunnel, email delivery and third-party maps may involve service providers outside South Africa; assess applicable cross-border safeguards before a live rollout.
Data incidents and complaints
We aim to investigate suspected incidents and make required notifications when applicable. Complaints can be made to the South African Information Regulator.
Operator details
Before launching commercially, the responsible party must fill in its full legal identity, physical/contact address, assigned Information Officer details where required, and an approved retention schedule. Contact the site operator through our private form in the meantime.
