My gran passed on at home, when the undertaker arrived, his first words were that they need help during the funeral because they cant carry the coffin by themselves, he argued with my cousin and his response was "This is the cheapest funeral service in durban", my gran has been paying for her policy since 1989. They arrived in a small bakkie with a canopy, as they drove off my grans body was moving from side to side at the back of the van. Had a funeral policy with this parlor for well over 15 years. I was absolutely appalled with their services; unhappy with the facility and the the stipulations on the cover was not met. I didn't take the marquee and chairs. The policy says bus available. I was told only R200 is allocated for the bus and R200 refund for the marquee. The herse looked run down, the family portion was untidy. The herse had no siren and it was an absolute disappointment. Unfortunately I have 2 other family members that I'm still paying for and actually dreading when they pass on

Loosing a loved one is a difficult experience, but also a very stressful one. Mariannhill Funeral services were extremely efficient, sensitive and professional. We are very impressed with their service delivery and hope that they continue to carry out their work in this manner.
